Real Madrid put aside £70M for Man Utd’s Ronaldo
Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic has spent the weekend working on their offer for Manchester United ace Cristiano Ronaldo.
AS says Real’s board has given Mijatovic a £70 million budget to prise Ronaldo away from Old Trafford after the Portuguese’s shock comments last week about wanting a move to Madrid.
Mijatovic has maintained daily contact with Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo’s agent, and is expected to make contact with United chief David Gill later this week.
Real are willing to include Robinho in their offer and insist on the Brazilian being rated at £30 million – which Old Trafford sources say is unrealistic.
