Real Madrid put Baptista up for sale
After a disappointing beginning to the season, Baptista managed to fight his way back to the first team and went through a short renaissance, but has since been overshadowed by the return of form of both Wesley Sneijder and Guti.
Thus AS says that Baptista has dropped out of Bernd Schuster’s plans for next season, and Mijatovic has been give permission by Ramon Calderon to find a buyer for “The Beast”.
Clubs such as Juventus, Fenerbahçe and Tottenham Hotspur may consider lining up bids for the Brazilian during the summer transfer season.
Another option is that Real Madrid may use Baptista in a “player & cash” switch deal in a bid for Sevilla’s Daniel Alves, currently rated at just over £21 million.
This seems highly unlikely though, given that Real Madrid bought Baptista in 2005 after spending an impressive season at the Andalucían club. (Goal.com
